Kobe Bryant’s legacy was celebrated again when his daughter Bianca threw the first pitch at a Dodgers game this week. The Los Angeles MLB team dedicated a special day to the former NBA star on August 25th. So, it only seemed right that one of Kobe’s daughters would have one of the most important roles.
Continuing The Legacy
Kobe Bryant’s daughter Bianka was joined by her mother and sisters that day to celebrate what would have been Kobe’s 46th birthday.
She and her family all wore matching Dodgers jerseys with the number 24 on their backs, paying tribute to her father. Vannessa took to Instagram to share her appreciation of the Dodgers. Her post was captioned, “Thank you @dodgers for supporting our @mambamambacitasports foundation. L.A. Love 🙏🏽💜💛 💙🤍.”
Along with her caption, Vanessa also shared a ton of adorable photos from the day and Bianka throwing that impressive first pitch. Kobe Byrant’s daughter is following in his footsteps. PEOPLE reports that Bryant also threw the first pitch at a Dodgers game back in June 2000.
Kobe Bryant’s Daughter And Family Honor His Legacy
In addition to this being a special moment for Kobe Bryant’s daughter and family, it was also a special moment for all of the fans in attendance. All baseball game attendees received special-edition Kobe jerseys with a snake print and gold and black coloring. The design and the numbers — 8 and 24 — were meant to honor the “Black Mamba.”
Then, fans were treated to a Lakers-themed drone show that impressed everyone. This baseball game is not the only Kobe Bryant-themed day. In fact, this game fell on the day after the city’s official Kobe Bryant Day. The city apparently wants to honor his legacy just as much as Kobe Bryant’s daughter and family do.
